A quality education should be available to anyone who wants it, and we’re 100% committed to doing all we can to make that a reality—for you.

As the business world began to expand toward the end of the 19th century, Dr. S. Irving Strayer opened the doors of Strayer’s Business College in Baltimore, Md., in 1892. Today, with students taking classes at more than 70 campuses in 15 states and Washington, D.C., or via the internet, Strayer University is now one of the most well-known adult-focused universities in America.

Make no mistake. YOU will be doing the work, the hard work. But it will be worth it. Strayer University will be here to help, because we know what it means to learn as a working adult. We’ve identified what makes a degree—and the experience of earning it—truly meaningful.

Today, Strayer University has six distinct accreditations and certifications from respected organizations that attest to our academic quality. These organizations recognize universities that meet or exceed their standards for higher learning, based on their careful review.

The most important ambassadors of Strayer Univestity are our students. We strive to make their experience rewarding and life-changing. And they're proud to be at Strayer.

Class size varies based on the objectives of the course being taught and the teaching demands of the subject matter on faculty. In general, Strayer University aims to keep the student-to-instructor ratio low, with approximately 20 to 25 students per instructor at physical campuses and approximately 30 to 35 students per instructor in online courses.

Strayer University prepares graduates to think critically and adapt to an ever-changing world. Currently, over 1,000 international students from around the world are pursuing master’s, bachelor’s and associate degrees in programs that are in demand in the workplace, such as: business administration, information systems, and more. Students may be able to attend class either from their home country through our online program or at one of Strayer University’s campus locations.
