At UF, we help great students become even greater.

With an average 4.3 G.P.A. and an average S.A.T. score of 1918, our fall 2015 freshman class is anything but average. And while those numbers are impressive, for us, they’re just the beginning. It’s not about the accomplishments of an individual; it’s what we can accomplish together.

Together , we're generating over 100,000 jobs in Florida every year

Together, we're able to contribute over $8 billion to help stimulate one of the strongest state economies in the nation. And through our combined efforts as Gators, we’re able to take every dollar invested in UF by the state of Florida and turn it into $15.

A greater commitment for a greater state

With our land, sea and space grants, we have been entrusted with a responsibility to educate, research and serve. These grants fuel our commitment to making a greater difference. One felt not only by the citizens of Florida, but around the world. Below, you'll find just a few of the ways we're working for a greater impact through research.

Together, we're tackling some of the toughest problems in search of even tougher ones. We have facilities in all 67 counties in Florida, working together to help local farmers and economies grow and thrive. Our Emerging Pathogens Institute is a national model, charged with protecting the nation from a whole host of diseases and pathogens. Our ocean research helps protect the coasts responsible for 75 percent of Florida's G.D.P. at home and the homes of 3.5 billion people worldwide.

When we grow, we expand our impact

UF has a 2,000-acre campus and more than 900 buildings, including the first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum-certified building in the state of Florida. That was just the beginning; now UF has more LEED-certified buildings than any other American university and with your help, we can continue to lead Florida and the world to a greener future.
